i suffer when fictional characters embarrass themselves

Do you understand how many times, when re-watching a movie or show, I will hide my face when I know something embarrassing is going to happen? It’s not even rational, but I do it.

If it’s on TV sometimes I actually have to leave the room and when it’s in the book I have to read it in small doses to cut down on the second hand embarrassment
